About the Author

Thomas W. McCormack, M.D. is a psychiatrist, educator, and thought leader in the integration of spirituality and medicine. Dr. McCormack earned his medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine, completed his residency and two fellowships at Duke University, and has been 
awarded board certifications in General Psychiatry, Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, and Forensic Psychiatry.

Dr. McCormack has built a thriving multidisciplinary practice in Athens, Georgia specializing in 
complex and treatment-resistant psychiatric cases. He has also served as a Clinical Assistant 
Professor at Emory University and currently at the UGA School of Medicine.

Beyond his clinical and legal expertise, he is actively involved in civic activities, holding leadership positions in his church and contributing to non-profit organizations that support mental health and youth services.

Dr. McCormack lives in Athens, Georgia with his wife Michelle, and they have three beloved adult 
children.
